I meant to write a song comical poem/song 648 by Angela Lansbury

 I wrote a poem today

That's good. So what went wrong?

I wrote a poem today

I should have written a song

A funny poem can be fun

It's personal when aimed at one

But a song can entertain the world

From the dawn to the setting sun

A phrase can soon be all the rage

With words which leap up of the page

But I would ather strut the stage

With a microphone, sing a song

A speech for an investiture

Can inspire those of tender years

Might move them to laughter or tears

But a song adds emotonal gestures

Words can evoke love and laughter

Can provoke, stoke, or prevent nurder

Words can entertain forever

Granting you all lasting pleasure
