Smile Please! comic poem 230 by Angela Lansbury

πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ’‹πŸ’‹

 What is a smile

It says I'm a friend

Bringing hostility

To an end

It makes you feel good

Makes sadness end

If you're not in the mood

You have to pretend

Deter hostility

When you are harassed

The Japanese smile

When bereaved or embarrassed

What is a smile

Not like a grin

Which is too much

And says I win

What is a smile

It says I'm okay

Glad to see you

You made my day

What is a smile

It ends a fight

I told you so

You see, I'm right!

What is a smile

It says hello

Also goodbye

Glad to see you go.

What is a smile

For a group photo

This could be seen

By someone I know

What is a smile

It lifts the lips

A quick facelift

Distracts from hips

What is a smile

It's not a lie

But Cheshire cat goodwill

A cheap bequest left after you die.
